Beautiful Gift Trading Company

Wholesale statues, pendants and rosaries

In 1979 the company BGT (Beautiful Gift Trading Company) was started by Jack Opstaele. For many years the founder has gained a lot of experience in the company of his father, namely FANCY BVBA in which he was a partner until 1996. He used this knowledge to found another company: B.G.T. ltd, a successful family business where his 2 daughters and son follow him in the footsteps.

In the first years BGT imported a lot from Italy as an exclusive agent of gift articles and floristy articles of pottery. Then Portugal was a major supplier for those same quality products but at cheaper prices. With this formula “the best price for quality” BGT is always looking for original and innovative articles.

As one of the pioneers BGT started in 1990 with the import of polystone articles from China. Four times a year, Mr. Opstaele went to its manufacturers to buy the latest novelties. To day, BGT has grown into a company that specializes in polystone items with a very large collection: statues, comic statues, Indians, fairies, cars, cherubs, animals (dolphins, eagles, birds, horses, pets), Christmas and Halloween collection, baptism and wedding articles and a beautiful collection of sea items. We also have an  exclusive collection of cast iron and ironwork, ranging from candlesticks to party lights. This results in an extensive range that meets every customer needs.

Another major asset of this company is: flexibility. BGT has its own delivery service for Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and France. Their warehouses are located at the port of Antwerp and have a surface of 5,500 m2. Every year, BGT imports a lot of containers. These are cleared and unloaded by our own personnel. This is to avoid  breakage with the aim of bringing the goods to the customer as quickly as possible, and in good condition.
